2019 reflection, and on to 2020!
2019 was an excellent year for Cielo Electric. Our business grew exponentially, and we had a number of interesting and notable projects. Our team had the chance to work with some amazing people and develop positive relationships that continue into the new year. Here is a little summary of what we did in 2019.
The Cielo team represented our business at the Condo Homeowners Association and West Coast Electric Fleet Symposia. Here we connected with industry suppliers, strata council members and property managers that were looking to install electric vehicle charging infrastructure in their buildings. In addition to this, Sukhdeep represented Cielo as a panelist at the SPF (Sustainability in Film) conference. Cielo Electric was also a sponsor and exhibitor at ElectraFest 2019, the only electric vehicle tradeshow in Metro Vancouver. In 2019, ElectraFest had 4500 attendees and over 60 exhibitors representing the electric vehicle industry.
2019 marked the year where our team became certified to install Tesla EV charging hardware. We are on track to complete our Powerwall and energy product certification in the next few months. This was a significant addition to our toolbox and had allowed us to connect with Tesla Customers and broaden our market reach.
Our team has worked closely with the Emotive Electric Vehicle program, volunteering their time to educate the general public about the benefits of EV’s and EV charging. In addition to this, Sukhdeep volunteered as a director of the Vancouver Electric Vehicle Association. He also worked with the Province of British Columbia on developing media content related to the benefit EV’s have for commercial fleets. Keep a look out on social media for this campaign.
2019 was a challenging and incredibly rewarding year for our team. We saw significant growth in the number and size of our projects. We were proudly completed our largest project at a major development in Downtown Vancouver, paving the path for future work in adjacent buildings. We are also proud to work with many of the major property management companies and strata corporations in the Lower Mainland. Our team had consulted, designed and developed comprehensive proposals for these organizations to get EV charging installed in their buildings.
We are happy to welcome our new Journeyman, Scott, to the Cielo Team. Scott will be joining Sukhdeep onsite in our service delivery and also leading an apprentice which will start early in the New Year.
As they say, “Onward and Upward,” and Cielo Electric is definitely moving along these pathways at significant pace. 2020 is upon us and we are looking forward to making this year even better.
